	Villajoyosa is a typically Spanish seaside town, which has retained its original character and charm. It is located on the Costa Blanca between the Historic City of Alicante and the lively commercialised town of Benidorm. It boasts one of the loveliest and best kept beaches in Spain, some of the finest and cheapest seafood served on a splendid promenade.
There are 4 apartments in all, each comprising of a living/dining room with integral kitchen, a bedroom and shower room. PB the ground floor apartment has a double bed and a twin single sofa bed and will sleep up to 4. Apartments 1 & 2 each have a twin bedroom and will sleep 2 each. There is also a Top apartment on two floors which will sleep 3/5, having a further living/bedroom with a single bed and two sofa beds, there is also a roof terrace with views over the old quarter (but be warned there are 39 steps to this apartment). Please note that these apartments could be combined to accommodate larger families, two families or small groups, e.g. The top two flats would have a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a single and two sofa beds, sleeping 7 with 2 shower rooms or the top 3 apartments could sleep 9 with 3 shower rooms. All 4 could accommodate up to 13. The crumbling multi-coloured houses of the old quarter, which lean together like a drunken film set, have been recognised as the architectural treasure they really are. The gnarled old town of Villajoyosa is an experience well worth a visit on its own, but the big deal here is the beach. It is one of the very few sizeable stretches of sand on the entire Mediterranean coast not to be given over to gaudy developments and acres of umbrellas. Its just a beach (Blue Flag), golden and clear, fringed by a balustraded promenade which houses a series of restaurants and bars whose tables fan out to provide a perfect place to unpeel some garlicky prawns and drink cold beers.The holiday accommodation is one of these old houses (left photo), converted into apartments, on the front edge of the old quarter. It is situated directly behind the front row (right photo) which faces the sea and is less than 60 metres from the beach.
Villajoyosa is one of the most effortlessly atmospheric little towns you could wish to visit, it is the sort of place that revels in its relative obscurity, the kind of place Spaniards keep quiet about so that they have somewhere civilised to go on holiday themselves The price includes bed linen, towels (not beach), gas, water and electricity.
