Self-catering holiday home with swimming pool to rent in the Lot in France. Self-catering holiday home to let near Luzech. Self-catering vacation home with swimmingpool to let in south west France. Self catering holiday accommodation with swimming pool to rent in the Midi Pyrenees in France. Holiday homes to rent in the Quercy region. The Domaine de Roubignol was once a winemakers house with its own Appellation Controlee vineyard. It is set on the hilly slopes above the broad vineyards of the Lot Valley and just below the level of the Causse limestone plateau with fields of bright yellow sunflowers and Cahors vineyards. Roubignol was built about 1800 and has a pigeonnier tower typical of the region on one corner, and a rather earlier and larger square tower, now converted into a separate house on the other.
It is furnished mainly with the cherry wood and walnut furniture of the region. The swimming pool is some 70m from the house and is very dramatic as it is cut out of the steep slope of the hillside and is protected by old walls and arches. The region is beautiful, with a wide choice of things to do and see : canoeing on the Lot or Dordogne, riding, golfing, paragliding and marvellous walking. For those who like sight seeing and culture the famous Pont Valentre at Cahors looks particularly impressive after dark, and there is also the Alchemist\'s room at the Chateau de Cenevieres, the prehistoric caves at Pech Merle and various Chateaux, chuches, bastides, museums, art galleries and concerts. The Perigord is one of the gastronomic regions of France, so eating well is no problem.

To protect the privacy of the people in the main house the Tower is not available separately in July and August, and in any case it does not overlook the main house and garden. People in the tower do not have use of the pool unless the main house is empty. Full colour brochure available from the owners. www.moxhams-antiques.demon.co.uk
