A tranquil and rare experience awaits at Bosc Lebat a magnificent Manoir with shuttered windows and mediterranean roofs. Nestling in its own valley surrounding by rolling hills of woodland and sunflowers. The tree-lined driveway with a display of irises in early summer creates and idylic welcome.
Bosc Lebat has extensive gardens, grounds and woodland teaming with birds, butterflys, wild life, orchids all to be found as you walk the fields belonging to this lovely old manoir. The swimming pool is set in its own private area surrounded by orchards and arches of roses and is quite exotic. It is well equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and it is a real suntrap. All the bedrooms are ensuite and extremely comfortable with either 6ft king sized beds or twin-beds. All have comfortable armchairs or sofas for relaxation and have access to fridges, they are all equipped with tea-making facilities. Three overlook the garden and the smaller double overlooks the courtyard and fields beyond. There is a delightful garden room for serving breakfast and this also has the facility to prepare your own light lunches to be eaten under the large trees on the lawns. The elegant dining room is used for evening meals only when you can enjoy good food and wine in the candelight setting on request. There are two choices available, a four course dinner, including wine or a three course supper. There is a comfortable sitting room where afternoon tea is served inclusive of the B&B charges and is a retreat often from the hot sun.
This is a very historic area and really only just been discovered. The climate in Spring is warm and normally sunny. During July and August it is normally quite hot but without the wind and mistral of Provence. Quite often the Tarn remains delightfully green, instead of scorched. There is an excellent 18-hole golf course within 10 minutes drive and several others within easy distance. There are many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area varying from Michelin starred to cafes. There is an excellent supermarket in Lavaur, 8 minutes away, and many vast ones in the surrounding towns. There is a market to be found in the area virtually every day. The sunny old town of Lavaur with its market and splendid fountain, the old cathedral city of Albi, the fortified city of Carcassonne, the river side city if Castres, the Pink city of Toulouse, old town of Gaillac and surrounding vineyards and the City in the Sky, Cordes, are certainly worth a visit. The Spanish border and the Pyrennees are only 3 hours drive away. With Toulouse airport being only 35 minutes away with connections to nearly every airport in the UK and all autoroutes within 15 minutes this makes Bosc Lebat such an accessible part of the Tarn. Bosc Lebat will give you a tranquil and rare French experience.
