Château le Montmireil is a traditional late 19th century Normandy château. Built by Alphonse Lemerre, a wealthy publisher, as his country mansion in 1898, it has served many roles in the past 100 years. The property is set in its own beautiful private gardens of approximately 2 acres. In the grounds is a large covered indoor garden with swimming pool, table tennis, dining or party area, and fish pond stocked with Koi Carp. This area is a wonderful place for the children to play, family lunches, ‘get togethers’, company presentations or just to sit about alone or as a group relaxing and enjoying the ambiance. If you’ve a mind, you can swim or just laze around the pool. The building is mainly of glass, set on low stone walls and in the summer is a sun trap.
